Wealthsimple Trade hasn’t launched yet. Right now you can add yourself to the waitlist to get early access and you’ll be invited to download the app based on your place in line. We can’t make any promises on when exactly you’ll be able to start using it, but you can keep tabs on your place in line anytime by checking the website.

How does Wealthsimple Trade have $0 commission trading when other brokerages charge up to $10/trade?
Wealthsimple is able to offer commission-free trades because they’ve built a low-cost, digital-first brokerage powered by technology. Who is eligible for Wealthsimple Trade?
Wealthsimple Trade will be available in Canada only. In order to open a Wealthsimple Trade account, you must:
- Be a Canadian citizen, Canadian resident, or have a valid Canadian visa
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number
- Have a Canadian address
If I already have a Wealthsimple account, can I still use Wealthsimple Trade?
If you’re already a Wealthsimple client, you can open your Wealthsimple Trade account with just one tap.
Which account types will be supported?
At launch, Wealthsimple Trade will support cash (non-registered) accounts. We plan to support more account types in the future.
How do I fund my account?
Once you have your bank account connected, you can make a deposit to your Wealthsimple Trade account. You can set up a one-time deposit, or regular auto-deposits. There are no limits on deposits. It can take up to three business days for funds to clear and be available to trade.
What steps does Wealthsimple Trade take to protect my information?
Wealthsimple Trade uses state-of-the-art security and encryption to protect your data. We will never share or sell your information with anyone.
Are my assets safe with Wealthsimple Trade?
Wealthsimple Trade is a division of Canadian ShareOwner Investments Inc., a registered investment dealer and a member of Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF), which is standard for brokerages in Canada.
